Advertising PolicyAdvertising and Sponsorship PolicyUpdated April 2, 2026FotMatch operates as a free product. This page explains how advertising works on the site, where ads can appear, and how editorial content is kept independent from advertising decisions.Advertising partnersFotMatch primarily uses Google AdSense as its programmatic advertising partner. Google may collect data via cookies for ad personalization in regions where that is permitted; users can manage personalization through Google's Ads Settings or via the cookie controls described in our Cookie Policy.FotMatch may from time to time accept direct sponsorship or affiliate placements from football-related brands. Direct sponsorships will be marked clearly and will not be confused with editorial articles or wiki entries.Where ads can appearAds may appear on listing and reference pages such as the home page, news lists, league pages, competition guides, encyclopedia entries and team or player pages. Ads will not be inserted into the middle of a single sentence, and they should never disguise themselves as part of the article.Pages that are part of the user account flow (login, settings, profile, billing-style pages) and the legal pages (Terms, Privacy, Cookie, Disclaimer, this Ad Policy) are kept free of programmatic ads.Editorial independenceEditorial decisions about which fixtures, players, leagues, encyclopedia entries or news stories to feature are made independently of which pages produce more advertising revenue. Wiki content and editorial commentary will be marked as such; sponsored content will be marked separately.Excluded ad categoriesWe aim to keep ads on FotMatch suitable for a general football audience. We block, where the ad network allows it, categories that violate Google AdSense Program Policies including illegal content, sexually explicit material, weapons, malware, deceptive products and similar disallowed categories. Gambling-related advertising is restricted to regions where it is legal for the user.Reporting an adIf you encounter an advertisement on FotMatch that appears deceptive, harmful, or otherwise inappropriate, please report it through the contact email on the About page. Include the page URL and a brief description so we can identify and block the ad creative or category.MatchesLeaguesPredictionsNews
